Abstract

ABSTRACT The construction of the windlass foundation on the vessel is one of the important structures, in this case related to the process of ship belay. To facilitate and enhance the work of the ship when the foundation mooring must have a construction that is considered capable of meeting t he weight of the load above it. By analyzing the windlass foundation using elemental method until able to know the strength of foundation constructio n. The analyzed loading is on 2 conditions ie condition when windlass standby and condition when windlass operate. And the problems obtained are how much the load is received, how the construction plan podasi and how the security factor.By using the applie d mechanics calculation the load to be received on the foundation and the construction planning of windlass foundation can be known. To know the result of podasi construction planning using Finite Element Methode (MEH). In the analysis process using ANSYS software. Where in the process of modeling analysis performed on AutoCAD 2007 which then exported to ANSYS software. Then performed meshing stages or division of kompenen divided into small elements so that the analysis process produced more accurate. From the analysis results obtained 2 loads that work on the foundation that is the vertical load and horizontal load. With a vertical load of 205075.4 N or 205,075 kN and a horizontal load 355635.2 N or 355,635 kN. Generated planning modulus of 778954.27 mm3, profile size T 125 x 200 x 16 and profile L 100 x 100 x 10. Results of the calculation of the safety factor based on techniques and software based on the same is when the windlass standby of 3.78 and at the time of operation of 1.92 . Keywords: Windlass Foundation, Finite Element Methode, Safety Factor, Strength.
