Abstract

ABSTRAK SPG Kuang adalah stasiun pengumpul gas yang memproses gas alam dari sumur Kuang Selatan dan SP Kuang Utara. Gas dari SPG Kuang diturunkan kadar CO2 di SPG Pakugajah. Oleh karena itu, buried pipeline dirancang dengan kedalaman 2 m dengan panjang 2 km yang berfungsi untuk mendistribusikan gas dari SPG Kuang ke SPG Pakugajah di line number 10”-CH-PG-032. Perhitungan potensi upheaval buckling dilakukan untuk mengetahui besarnya tegangan-tegangan yang terjadi pada pipeline tersebut. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perhitungan nilai tegangan kritis dan gaya aksial kompresif pipeline yang harus diakomodasi oleh gaya friksi tanah. Model pipeline dibuat dan disimulasikan menggunakan software ANSYS 14.5 pada daerah crossing sungai dan software CAESAR II pada keseluruhan pipeline. Pipeline tersebut memenuhi kriteria ketebalan minimum pipeline sesuai ASME B31.8 dengan nilai 0,594 inch. Selama fase operasi, pipeline tersebut mengalami tegangan total longitudinal dengan nilai 28690,1211 psi yang masih bekerja di bawah tegangan ijinnya yaitu 31950 psi. Namun, tegangan-tegangan tersebut membentuk gaya yang bekerja searah aksial pipa secara kompresif senilai 471203,2863 lbf. Gaya yang terinisiasi akibat beban operasi tersebut ditahan oleh gaya friksi tanah yang bekerja sepanjang pipeline dipendam dengan nilai 638709,8079 lbf di KP 0.75 – KP 1.50. Sedangkan, pipeline yang melewati dasar sungai memiliki nilai gaya angkat sebesar -3948815,1556 lbf di KP 0.75 – KP 1.50.. Hasil analisa di CAESAR menunjukkan bahwa pipeline tersebut tidak mengalami overstress akibat beban tetap, beban okasional dan beban ekspansi. Sedangkan, pemodelan section pipeline yang melewati sungai di ANSYS menghasilkan nilai defleksi vertikal maksimum sebesar 1,3347 inch pada kedalaman 2 m di KP 1.50 – KP 2.00. Kata kunci : Pipeline, Buckling, CAESAR, ANSYS, Buoyancy. ABSTRACT SPG Kuang is a gas collecting station which processes natural gas from wells Kuang Selatan and SP Kuang Utara. Gas from SPG Kuang lowered levels of CO2 in SPG Pakugajah. Therefore, buried pipeline is designed with a depth of 2 m with a length of 2 km which to distribute gas from SPG Kuang to SPG Pakugajah at line number 10 "-CH-PG-032. Potention of upheaval buckling calculations are performed to determine the stresses that occur in the pipeline. In this research, the calculation of the critical stress and compressive axial force pipeline that must be accommodated by soil friction force. Model pipeline created and simulated using ANSYS 14.5 on the area of the river crossing and CAESAR II on the whole pipeline. The pipeline met the criteria of a minimum thickness of pipeline according to ASME B31.8 with a value of 0.594 inch. During the operation phase, the pipeline experienced longitudinal stress with a total value of 28690,1211 psi are still working under allowable stress that is 31 950 psi. However, stresses form a force acting in the direction of the axial of the pipeline compressively 471203,2863 lbf. Force which initiated as a result of operating load are defend by soil friction force along the pipeline buried with value 638709,8079 lbf in KP 0.75 - KP 1.50. Meanwhile, the pipeline that passes through the bottom of the river has a value of lifting force of -3948815,1556 lbf in KP 0.75 - KP 1.50. The results of the analysis in CAESAR showed that the pipeline is not experiencing overstress due to the sustained load, occasional loads and expansion load. Meanwhile, modelling pipeline section passing through the river in ANSYS generate maximum vertical deflection value of 1.3347 inch at a depth of 2 m at KP 1.50 – KP 2.00.
