ABSTRAK Kapal Perintis 2000GT merupakan proyek kapal baru dari Kementerian Perhubungan yang dibangun di PT.Orela Shipyard. Proyek ini direncanakan akan selesai pada tahun 2017. Pada proyek bangunan kapal baru ini belum direncanakan untuk penentuan steering gear. Pada kapal-kapal lama sistem steering gear yang digunakan masih steering gear model manual.Pada Kapal Perintis 2000GT direncanakan menggunakan steering gear modern atau steering gear yang menggunakan sistem hidrolik. Untuk mendesain steering gear ini maka dilakukan perhitungan komponen penyusun steering gear. Selain perhitungan, akan dilakukan analisa kekuatan komponen pendukung lainnya menggunakan software inventor. Perhitungan juga akan dilakukan untuk menentukan kapasitas pompa untuk mensupply minyak hidrolik. Perencanaan steering gear ini juga mengacu pada desain steering gear dari perusahaan yang sudah mendapatkan approve dari BV sebagai reverensi. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan dan analisa menggunakan software maka akan didapatkan desain steering gear yang tepat untuk Kapal Perintis 2000GT ini. Selain desain juga akan didapatkan kapasitas pompa yang dibutuhkan untuk mensupply minyak pada sistem hidrolik steering gear kapal tersebut. Untuk desain gambar dari masing-masing komponen akan dibuat menggunakan softwareAutocad dan Inventor. Kata kunci : AUTOCAD, INVENTOR 2013,steering gear, rule, sistem hidrolik. ABSTRACT Perintis 2000GT ship is a new project of the Ministry of Transportation built PT.Orela Shipyard. The project is planned to be completed in 2017. In the new ship building project is not planned for the determination of the steering gear. In the old ships steering gear system used is still steering gear manual models. At Perintis 2000GT Ship is planned to use modern steering gear or steering gear that uses a hydraulic system. To design the steering gear then this will do the calculation components of the steering gear. Besides calculations, it will be analyzed the strength of other supporting components using software inventor. Calculation will also be performed to determine the capacity of the pump to supply hydraulic oil. Planning steering gear also refers to the steering gear design from a company that is already getting approve of BV as reverensi. After calculation and analysis using the software it will get the exact design of steering gear for Perintis 2000GT ship. In addition to the design also will get the required pump capacity to supply oil to the steering gear hydraulic system of the ship.
