Abstract

ABSTRAK Timbal atau disebut juga timah hitam (Pb; lead) merupakan salah satu bahan pencemar udara yang sangat berbahaya bagi kesehatan manusia. Timbal dapat masuk ke dalam tubuh manusia melalui inhalasi, kulit dan mulut. PT. X merupakan industri peleburan baja yang dalam proses produksi setiap harinya mengeluarkan asap yang buruk. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya hasil pengukuran kualitas udara ambien tahun 2015, yang menunjukkan bahwa parameter timah hitam di dua titik pengukuran melebihi NAB (nilai ambang batas). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara faktor-faktor pada karakteristik individu dan kadar timbal dalam darah dengan anemia pada pekerja di PT. X. Sampel pada penelitian berjumlah 32 orang dari 55 populasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengisi kuisoner untuk mengetahui karakteristik individu dan keluhan kesehatan pada responden serta dilakukan pengujian kadar timbal dalam darah. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis regresi logistik dengan bantuan software SPSS versi 20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik individu yang berhubungan dengan anemia antara lain faktor usia (p=0,02), masa kerja (p=0,001), kebiasaan merokok (p=0,007), dan kadar timbal dalam darah (p=0,02). Sedangkan faktor pemakaian alat pelindung diri tidak dilakukan uji hubungan karena data yang konstan dan faktor body mass index (BMI) tidak berhubungan (p=0,773). Hasil uji kadar timbal dalam darah pada responden yang termasuk kategori normal sebanyak 16% dan kategori melebihi PEL (Permissible Exposure Limit)sebanyak 84%. Berdasarkan hasil kuisoner, tiga gejala anemia terbanyak yang dialami responden berupa sakit kepala, 5L dan pucat. Rekomendasi yang diberikan pada PT. X berupa rekomendasi penurunan kadar gas buang dan pencegahan penyakit akibat kerja, meliputi tahap eliminasi, substitusi, rekayasa engineering, administrasi, dan alat pelindung diri. Kata kunci: anemia, hemoglobin, kadar timbal dalam darah, timbal ABSTRACT Lead or also known as lead (Pb; lead) is one of the air pollutants that are dangerous to human health. Lead can enter the human body through inhalation, skin and mouth. PT. X is the steel melting industry which on production process every day had bad fumes. This is evidenced by the results of measurements of the ambient air quality in 2015, which indicates that the parameters of the lead at two measurement points exceeds TLV (threshold value). This study aims to determine the relationship between the factors on individual characteristics and blood lead levels with anemia to workers at PT. X. Samples numbered 32 people from 55 populations. The data collection is done by filling out the questionnaire to determine the individual characteristics and health complaints in the respondent and testing blood lead level. Data analysis was performed using logistic regression analyzes with SPSS version 20. The results showed that the characteristics of the individuals associated with anemia are the factors of age (p = 0.02), years of working (p = 0.001), smoking habits (p = 0.007), and blood lead level (p = 0.02). While the use of personal protective equipment factor was not relationship tested because the data is a constant and factors of body mass index (BMI) is not associated (p = 0.773).The test results of blood lead levels among respondents were categorized as normal as much as 16% and category exceeds PEL (Permissible Exposure Limit) as much as 84%. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the three most experienced symptoms of anemia respondents in the form of headaches, 5L and pale. The factors associated with anemia (Y) after being tested on SPSS include age factor (X1), years of working (X2), smoking habits (X4) and blood lead level (X6). Recommendations were given to PT. X is on reduced levels of exhaust gases and the prevention of occupational diseases, including the stage of elimination, substitution, engineering engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment.
