Kata Kunci : unsafe behaviour, behaviour based safety, critical behaviour checklist, surat tindak langga. ABSTRACT PT. SPINDO Unit IV,Tbk is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of spiral steel pipe and coating. Because the production process using machine and work in each warehouse has risk of workplace accidents and different potential hazard, the workplace accident can be happen at any time without predictably though. Workplace accidents are often caused by unsafe behaviour. Improved management of K3 focusing on unsafe behaviour becomes one way that accidents can be prevented and zero accident can be realized. Based on collected data, this type of research is observational research with the objects of research mill spiral operator, endfacing, repair as many as 64 workers and consists of workers shift 1 and shift 2. Program Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) using methods DOIT (Define, Observe, Intervene, Test) for 9 weeks with the provisions of base-line 2 weeks, 4 weeks intervene and follow-up of 3 weeks. The object of research were divided into 2 groups: the experimental workers and the monitoring workers. Observation data retrieval using the Critical Behaviour Checklist (CBC) and the application of infringement action letter as a form of intervention by the consequences of outcomes in the form of reward and punishment. The test results of normality using kolmogorov smirnov statistical showed that the P-value > α = 0,05 for each type of job, so the obtained data is normal distribution. Paired t-test results showed the difference between the safe behaviours before and after the intervention on the kind of work mill spiral, endfacing and repair experimental workers group. T-independent test results showed the difference of safe behaviour on the kind of work mill spiral and repair experimental workers group and monitoring workers group. While for the type of work endfacing experimental workers group and monitoring workers group showed no difference in safe behaviour. Binary logistic regression results on the experimental workers group shift 1 and shift 2 after intervention showed educational variable affect on safe behaviour and unsafe behaviour. The result can be seen in table variables in the equation experimental workers after intervention shift 1 and shift 2 who showed age = 0,130, education = 0,033 and work experience = 0,238. The value of the sig education variable < α = 0,05 so that affect on safe behaviour and unsafe behaviour of workers. Keywords : unsafe behaviour, behaviour based safety, critical behaviour checklist, infringement action letter
