Abstract

Kata kunci : FEV1, Kesehatan Kerja Penyelaman, Barotrauma ABSTRACT Underwater diving is an activity that is closely related to the manifestation of changes in water pressure received by divers, when diving with dinamic depth can significantly changes conditions of diver physiology. The lungs as a means of ventilation in the respiratory system for the body in which the work function of the lung can decline due to a disturbance in the physiological mechanisms that one of them caused by the activity of dives. Value 1 Second Forced Expiratory Volume (FEV1) as a function parameter marker pulmonary physiology essential for lung function disorders conditions that divers did not rupture a lung underwater activities. This study aims to determine the effect of barotrauma and the individual factors to the decline in FEV1 divers at PT. Aquamarine Divindo Inspection. This type of research is observational with cross sectional approach to the samples in the study amounted to 34 people. The data collection is done by filling the questionnaire to determine the characteristics of respondents and retrieval capacity with FEV1 with the results of Medical Check Up (MCU) divers. Data were analyzed by Chi-Square test and Binary Logistic Regression with SPSS. The results of the study of pulmonary conditions in the last 3 years divers known as much as 27 respondents FEV1 decreased significantly. This indicates the achievement of the effectiveness of the workers have not yet reached safe conditions. The result of Chi Square test showed a significant relationship with outcome p-value < α between age varible (p-value = 0.007), nutritional status (p-value = 0.049), smoking habits (p-value = 0.013) and barotrauma (p-value = 0.001). The results of logistic regression test showed factors barotrauma (X1) p-value = 0.008, the age factor (X2) p-value = 0.022, and factors of smoking habits (X6) p -value = 0.023 jointly affect the (Y1) is scaling back decreased of FEV1.
