Abstract

ABSTRAK PT. Boma Bisma Indra (Persero) atau PT. BBI merupakan salah satu perusahaan BUMN yang bergerak pada bidang fabrikasi terutama pada industrial equipment division dan casting unit. Saat ini PT. BBI Pasuruan mulai melakukan evaluasi rencana jangka panjang (RJP) salah satu RJP PT. BBI yaitu melakukan perluasan area produksi dinas pengecoran (Foundry) karena dirasa salah satu dinas potensial. Akibat RJP pelebaran area produksi dinas foundry maka evaluasi kondisi layout sekarang dijadikan acuan untuk membuat layout baru. Dinas foundry sekarang berada terpisah di bagian belakang workshop utama departemen fabrikasi sedangkan kondisi layout sekarang banyak terjadi penumpukan bahan baku dan hasil produksi, akibat belum diimbangi dengan luas area yang tersedia sehingga terjadi kesulitan untuk menyeimbangkan kinerja setiap fasilitas produksi. Selain itu, banyak terjadi persilangan urutan produksi dan terlalu panjangnya lintasan material handling yang mengakibatkan semakin lamanya waktu produksi. Sehingga ongkos material handling (OMH) lebih besar. Untuk penyelesaiannya digunakan metode blocplan (model matematis berbentuk software komputer). Metode blocplan lebih memperhitungkan derajat kedekatan antar stasiun kerja, membangun atau mengubah layout dengan mencari total jarak tempuh yang minimal dalam perpindahan material dan proses output yang cepat dalam menemukan solusi terbaik. Block layout hasil software blocplan lebih teratur bentuknya sehingga lebih diminati dan mudah untuk diterapkan. Hasil penelitian perancangan layout software blocplan90 dapat memberi 20 alternatif layout kemudian dipilih satu layout usulan terpilih dengan R-score terbaik 0,86 yang memiliki luas 2208,21 m² dengan total jarak material handling 66.542,7 m/ bulan dan ongkos material handling tiap bulan sebesar Rp. 5.257.087,23 sehingga dapat meningkatkan efisiensi ongkos material handling (OMH) sebesar 59,99 %. BBI is one of the state-owned company engaged in the field of fabrication, especially in the industrial equipment division and casting unit. Currently, PT. BBI Pasuruan began evaluating long-term plan (CPR). One of those plan is expanding the production area of Foundry office because it is considered one of the potential services. As a result of the widening area of production foundry services, the evaluation of the condition of the layout is now used as a reference to create a new layout. Department of foundry now is being separated at the back of the main fabrication workshop department while the condition of the layout is now a lot of buildup of raw materials and products, as a result it has not been matched with area provided resulting in difficulty to balance the performance of each production facility. In addition, a lot happens crosses the sequence of production and material handling overly long path that led to the length of time of production. So that the material handling costs (OMH) is greater. For the solution blocplan method (a mathematical model in the form of computer software) is used. Methods blocplan is better to take into account the degree of closeness between work stations, build or modify the layout by finding the total mileage of at least the material movements and process output quickly in finding the best solution. Block layout software results blocplan more irregular in shape so it is more attractive and easier to apply. The results of the research design layout blocplan90 software can provide 20 alternative layout then have a layout proposal was selected by maximum R-score of 0.86 which has an area of 2208.21 m² with a total distance of material handling 66542.7 m / month and material handling costs each month Rp. 5,257,087.23 so as to improve the efficiency of material handling costs (OMH) amounted to 59.99%.
