ABSTRAK Proses produksi yoghurt dalam skala industri rumahan masih banyak menggunakan cara manual. Dalam proses ini masih banyak mengunakan tenaga manusia.Untuk membantu proses produksi maka perlu dibuat alat otomatis untuk menciptakan kinerja yang lebih baik dan cepat. Otomatisasi ini akan menghemat waktu dan membuat produksi yoghurt lebih cepat. Dengan adanya permasalahan itu dapat dibuat kajian untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan “Proses Pembuatan Yoghurt Otomatis BerbasisMikrokontroller dan Visual Basic dengan Metode PID”. Proses ini membantu proses pasteurisasi atau pemanasan pada susu dan proses perbandingan susu dengan biang yoghurt. Alat ini dilengkapi dengan sensor untuk parameter, interface untuk monitoring dan kontrol PID untuk kontrol otomatis alat ini. Alat ini mampu membantu proses produksi yoghurt berjalan lebih baik dan cepat. Proses pembuatan yoghurt dengan kontrol PID ini akan memudahkan proses produksi. Nilai untuk setpoint PID adalah kp= 5, ki= 0,2 kd= 8. Ini adalah nilai hasil trial and error pada sistem. Pengontrolan PID mampu menjaga kestabilan untuk pembacaan sensor jarak dan tingkat kesaahan pada utrasonik sebesar 1%. Selain itu mikrokontroler membaca kestabilan sensor suhu LM35 yang mempunyai presentase kesalahan 0,29% dan ini dapat membantu proses berjalan dengan baik.. Kata kunci : Yoghurt, PID, biang ABSTRACT Yoghurt production process in home industry scale still use manual way. In this process there are still many using human power. To assist the production process has to be developed automated tools to create better performance and faster. In this automation will save time and make yoghurt production more faster. With the problems that can be made studies to solve these problems is to "Automatic Yogurt Production Process Based on Microcontroller and Visual Basic with PID method". This process helps the process of pasteurization or heating in milk and comparison process between milk and yogurt stater. This tool is equipped with sensors for parameters, interfaces for monitoring and PID control for automatic control of this tool. This tool able to assist in the production of yoghurt work better and faster. The process of making yogurt with PID control will make it easier production process. Value for set point PID is kp = 5, ki = 0.2 kd = 8. This is a value of the result of trial and error in the system. PID control is able to maintain stability for distance sensor and readings error on ultrasonik by 1%. And can read stability of temp sensor which has an error of 0,29% and this being able to make this tool work well Keywords : Yogurt, PID,stater
