Abstract

ABSTRAK Kebocoran pada tube ruang bakar boiler disebabkan tekanan dan temperatur yang tinggi secara kontinyu. Kebocoran ini diperbaiki dengan metode sistem window. Sistem window merupakan metode perbaikan pada tube yang bocor, lalu dilakukan sistem penambalan menggunakan material yang sejenis dengan pengelasan butt weld, maka kondisi material penambal perlu diperhatikan. Pada penelitian ini akan menggunakan material SA 178 Gr. C, yang dilas GTAW menggunakan filler metal ER70S-G (merk dagang TG-S50) dengan variasi kondisi material sebanyak 4 joints yaitu material lama vs lama dengan metode butt joint, material lama vs baru dengan metode butt joint, material lama vs lama dengan metode sistem window, dan material lama vs baru dengan metode sistem window. Untuk keseluruhan spesimen akan diuji visual, metode sistem window akan diuji radiografi, metode butt joint akan diuji kuat tarik, uji lengkung, dan uji T. Dari hasil uji visual, maka semua spesimen hasil pengelasan dapat diterima. Dari hasil uji radiografi untuk material lama vs lama sistem window terdapat cacat porosity sebesar 2.5 mm dan hasilnya ditolak, sedangkan material lama vs baru sistem window terdapat cacat porosity sebesar 1 mm dan hasilnya ditolak. Dari hasil uji lengkung untuk material butt joint, maka hasilnya dapat diterima semua. Dari hasil uji T, maka kondisi materia l mempengaruhi nilai kuat tarik. Dari hasil uji kuat tarik untuk material butt joint, maka diperoleh hasil yaitu material lama vs lama mempunyai nilai rata-rata uji kuat tarik terendah, yaitu 462.73 Mpa, sedangkan material lama vs baru mempunyai nilai rata-rata uji kuat tarik tertinggi, yaitu 478.43 MPa. This leak repaired by the method of the window system. Window system is a method of repair on a leaky tube, then do patching system using similar material by welding butt weld,then the patching material conditions need to be considered. This research will use the material SA 178 Gr. C, GTAW welded using filler metal ER70S-G (trademark TG-S50) with a variation of material conditions as much as four joints that old material vs old with a butt joint method, new vs old material with a butt joint method, old material vs old with the method of the window system, and old vs new material by the method of the window system. For the whole specimens to be tested visually, the method will be tested radiography window systems, methods butt joint will be tested for tensile strength, bend test, and T-test. From the visual test results, then all specimens welding results can be accepted. From the radiographic test results for old material vs old window systems are flawed porosity of 2.5 mm and the result w as rejected, while the old vs new material systems are flawed window porosity of 1 mm and the result is rejected. From the bending test for butt joint material, then the result can be acceptable to all. From the T-test results,then the material conditions affecting t he tensile strength values. From the tensile strength test results for butt joint material, the obtained results that the old vs the old material has an average value of tensile strength test low of 462.73 MPa, whereas the old vs the new material has the average value of the highest tensile strength test, namely 478.43 MPa.
