ABSTRAK Pembangkit thermal adalah suatu sistem pembangkitan yang beroperasi dengan mengubah energi kimia menjadi energi panas. Energi kimia berupa bahan bakar yang diubah menjadi energi panas melalui proses pembakaran, kemudian dikonversikan menjadi energi mekanik untuk menggerakkan generator yang kemudian menghasilkan listrik. Efisiensi thermal pembangkit tenaga listrik adalah energi listrik yang dihasilkan dibagi jumlah bahan bakar yang dipergunakan. Untuk menjaga performance turbin gas PLTGU blok 1.2 tetap baik, maka pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan overhaull dan evaluasi pada turbin gas PLTGU blok 1.2. Dalam evaluasi tersebut nantinya dapat diketahui perbandingan performance serta kerugian akibat shutdown turbin gas PLTGU blok 1.2. Dari perhitungan performance turbin gas PLTGU blok 1.2 sebelum overhaull tanggal 3 Maret 2015 pada daya 50 MW sebesar 19,96%, 75 MW sebesar 23,03%, 100 MW sebesar 25,40%. Setelah turbin gas di overhaull tanggal 14 April 2015 pada daya 50 MW sebesar 20,99%, 75 MW sebesar 24,03%, 100 MW sebesar 26,89%. Perhitungan dilakukan dengan siklus Brayton. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dapat diketahui bahwa performance turbin gas naik menjadi lebih baik daripada sebelumnya sekitar 0,99% – 1,48%. Ketika overhaull turbin gas dilaksanakan selama 20 hari kerugian akibat shutdown turbin gas PLTGU blok 1.2 sebesar Rp 64.896.000.000,-. Kata Kunci : Turbin Gas, Performance, Overhaull, Shutdown ABSTRACT Thermal power plant is the generator system that operates which converts the chemical energy to heat energy. The chemical energy in the form of fuel converted to heat energy through the process of combustion, then be converted into mechanical energy to move the generator which produce electricity. The efficiency of thermal power plant is electricity produced divided the number of fuel used. To keep the performance of gas turbine PPGS block 1.2 remain good, and on the final project of this is done overhaull and evaluation in a gas turbine PPGS block 1.2. In the evaluation will be known as well as a comparison of the performance of loss due to the shutdown of gas turbine PPGS block 1.2. From the calculation of the performance of a gas turbine PPGS blocks 1.2 before overhaull on March 3, 2015 at power 50 MW is 19.96 % , 75 MW is 23.03 % , 100 MW is 25.40 %. A gas turbine after overhaull on 14 April, 2015 at power 50 MW is 20,99 % , 75 MW is 24,03 % , 100 MW is 26.89 %. A Calculation done with Brayton cycle. Based on the calculation results can be known that the gas turbine performance is better than earlier, around 0.99 % - 1.48 %.
