Abstract

LPG transfer pumps at Terminal LPG Semarang are regularly carried out alignment checks. Checks are carried out to ensure there are deviation in the shaft alignment (misalignment). In addition vibration data retrieval before and after re-alignment is carried out on the pump that has misalignment to determine the condition of the engine according to ISO 10816 standard. After that the vibration pattern is observed and studied to determine the effect of misalignment on the vibration of the LPG transfer pump.The shaft alignment check was carried out using a dial indicator. Furthermore, vibration measurements are carried out before and after realignmnet using vibration meter. The measurement results in the form of RMS velocity compared to ISO 10816. Then the measurement results are processed into the MATLAB application to determine the peak velocity and displacement pattern of vibration.From the results of the alignment check, it is known that pumps P-110, P-120 and P-140 experience misalignment with vertical direction offset, while P-130 pumps are in good alignment condition. From the results of vibration measurements before and after realignmnet compared to the ISO 10816 standard vibration at the pump in good condition. From the vibration pattern shown in general the deviation of the pump decreases.
