Abstract

Before the workpiece to do the process of painting the workpiece should be cleaned first and made roughly so that when doing the painting process get good and easy attachment easily loose. This process requires equipment needs the main tool to finishing process. In order for the resulting ionic bonds to converge. In this process can be done by sanding, grinding, filming and pemblastingan. This sandblasting process is done to get a good roughness value. This study aims to determine the value ofroughness and compare the two plates whether the effect with the resulting roughness value. Based on the test results with 8 mm thick plate with variation 3.5 bar of abrasive material vulcanik obtained average roughness value of 68.25μm and variation of 6 bar of abrasive silica material obtained an average roughness value of 87μm.Tebal plate 6 mm with 6 bar variations of abrasive vulcanik material obtained roughness value of 85μm and 3.5 bar variation of abrasive silica material obtained roughness value of66μm.Tebal plate 10 mm with 6 bar variation of abrasive material vulcanic obtained 82μm roughness value and 6 bar variation of abrasive silica material obtained 110 μm kekasran value. Based on the test results with the thickness variation does not affect the value of roughness and the higher the value of roughness the better the adhesive power.
