Abstract

ABSTRAK Kontruksi boiler pada pembangkit listrik tenaga uap (PLTU) khususnya pada bagian super heater merupakan salah satu contoh kontruksi yang mensyaratkan kebutuhan material yang memiliki sifat mekanis yang relatif normal pada kondisi temperatur dan tekanan tinggi. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut maka diperlukan baja paduan ( alloy steel) khususnya baja Cr-Mo sesuai dengan standart American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Section I (ASME,2010:4). Baja ini memiliki kadar karbon rendah (<0,2%) dan mengandung satu atau lebih logam logam paduan seperti carbon, chromium, fosfor, sulfur, silicon, manganese, molybdinum, sehingga memiliki kelebihan untuk dapat dioperasikan pada temperetur dan tekanan yang cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membandingkan nilai kekerasan, dan melihat perbedaan struktur mikro pada material SA 335 P12 setelah dilakukan proses PWHT 1X dan PWHT 2X dengan temperatur 650˚C dan dilakukan holding time selama 45 menit Dari hasil penelitian yang didapat semakin banyak dilakukan PWHT maka kekerasan akan semakin menurun, dan nilai kekerasan paling rendah terdapat pada base metal, dan nilai kekerasan paling tinggi terdapat pada weld metal Kata kunci : PWHT, kekerasan, SA 335 P12 ABSTRACT Boiler construction in steam power supply (PLTU) especially on superheated part of work is one of construction that requires the using of material with relatively normal mechanical properties when technically work in high temperature and pressure. To fulfil these needs some construction using alloy steel especially Cr-Mo steel due to American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Section I (ASME,2010:4). This kind of steel has low carbon (<0.2%) and contain more than one elements such as carbon, chromium, phosphor, sulphur, silicon, manganese, molybdenum that make this material able to works in temperature and pressure high enough. This research was being done to compare the hardness value and see the differences of micro structure on SA 335 P12 after post weld heat treatment (PWHT) had done for once and twice with 650˚C temperature and 45 minutes holding time. From the results of the test that has been done get the conclusion that the highest frequency of PWHT, the lowest the result of hardness value. And the lowest hardness value coming from base metal area and the highest one is weld metal area. Key Words: PWHT, hardness, micro structure, SA 335 P12
