Abstract

ABSTRAK Saat ini perkembangan teknologi sudah semakin maju. Kita dapat mengakses segala informasi dengan cepat dan tepat. Salah satu teknologi yang saat ini disoroti adalah smartphones. Produksi smartphone sudah dilakukan di Indonesia beberapa tahun terakhir ini salah satunya di PT SAT NUSAPERSADA yang ada di batam. Dalam proses produksinya masih banyak alat dan penunjang yang di impor dari luar, namun akhir akhir ini sudah ada beberapa penunjang produksi yang dikerjakan secara internal seperti jig, tray, modif mesin, dsb. Namun beberapa tray yang ada di perusahaan tersebut masih impor dari luar negeri dari negara distributor produk tersebut. Dengan adanya kasus peristiwa itu peneliti mengambil topik tugas akhir. Salah satu penunjang produksi adalah tray yang digunakan operator untuk mempermudah dan membantu pekerjaan operator agar lebih cepat dan mengindarkan produk dari cacat produksi. Perancangan mold ini akan dikerjakan dengan CAD modelling, CAM programming dan CNC machining. Material yang digunakan adalah plastic jenis HIPS dan proses pembentukanya melalui vacuum thermoplastic forming. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan bisa menjadi referensi bagi pihak kampus Politeknik Perkapalan Surabaya, pengembangan dan juga inovasi dalam teknologi CAD/CAM yang berguna bagi individu, pihak perusahaan yang bersangkutan, dan di dunia industri yang saat ini semakin maju dan berkembang begitu pesat. Kata kunci : Vacuum Forming, Thermoplastic, CAD/CAM, Molding, Manufacture ABSTRACT Nowadays technological developments are getting more advanced. We can access all information quickly and accurately. One of the technologies currently highlighted is the smartphones. Production of smartphones has been done in Indonesia in recent years one of them in PT SAT NUSAPERSADA in batam. In the production process there are still many tools and supporters that imported from outside, but the end of this there are already some production support that is done internally such as jig, modification machine, and etc. However, some trays in the company are still imported from the country that distribute this product. With the case of the event the researcher took the topic for the final task. One of production support is the tray used by the operator to simplify and help the operator work faster and avoid the product from the production defect. The design of this mold will be done with CAD modeling, CAM programming and CNC machining. The material used is HIPS type plastic and its forming process through vacuum thermoplastic forming. With this research is expected to be a reference for the campus Polytechnic Shipping Surabaya, development and innovation in CAD / CAM technology that is useful for individuals, the parties concerned, and in the industry that is currently growing and growing so rapidly.
