ABSTRAK Pada beberapa elemen bangunan gedung ada yang memiliki biaya besar dan salah satunya yaitu pada elemen plat, namun elemen tersebut masih dapat dioptimalisasi dengan cara pengefisienan kembali. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan studi perbandingan. Dalam pemilihan teknologi, aspek pembiayaan, waktu pelaksanaan, proses pelaksanaan, dan aspek pengadaan material yang akan menjadi pusat perhatian untuk dilakukannya studi perbandingan. Pada perhitungan dengan cara perkiraan memilih plat terpanjang kemudian dijumlah untuk setiap kebutuhan, tetapi akan banyak terdapat plat sisa dengan ukuran yang bermacam-macam dan tidak terpakai apabila ukuran tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Sehingga pada perencanaan untuk mengadakan material plat designer harus dapat mengoptimalkan kebutuhan material plat. Dengan metode nesting drawing untuk memperoleh hasil yang akurat dan se-optimal mungkin. Setelah dilakukan analisa perbandingan antara perhitungan sample dan nesting untuk seluruh kebutuhan plat akan meminimalisir plat sisa. Maka perusahaan ataupun owner mengeluarkan biaya yang lebih rendah dalam pembangunan kapal dengan spesifikasi yang sama. Kata kunci : estimasi, nesting drawing, plat. ABSTRACK In some building elements there is a big cost and one of them is plate elements, but the element can still be optimized by way of re – efficiency. There fore a comparative study is required. In technological selection, finance, aspects, implementation time, and material procurement aspects that will be the center of attention for comparative studies. On the calculation by way of estimation of choosing the longest plate then summed for each requirement, but there will be many residual plates of varying size and unused if the size doesn’t fit. So that in planning to hold material plate designer must be able to optimize material requirement of plate. By nesting drawig method to obtain acurate and optimal results. After analyzing the conpanson between sample calculation and nesting for all plate requirement will minimize residual plate.
