Abstract

ABSTRAK Pada proses produksi Oksigen Cair di Cryogenic Air Separation Plant memiliki potensi bahaya tinggi antara lain: (1) Rapid Oxydation,(2) Embrittlement,(3) Pressure Excursion due to vaporizing liquid, (4) Oxygen enriched or deficient atmospheres. Selain itu juga merupakan cairan kriogenik yang memiliki temperatur -183 o C yang berisiko terjadinya luka bakar dingin.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Energy Trace and Barrier Analysis (ETBA) lalu dilanjutkan penentuan probabilitas skenario dengan Event Tree Analysis (ETA). Hasil penelitian dengan ETBA diperoleh 42 risiko yang tergolong tidak diterima, dimana ditemukan 5 risiko tergolong risiko tingkat keparahan catastrophic dan peluang terjadinya risiko selalu ada, antara lain: (1) Major heat loss thermal energy stage 1, (2) Major heat loss thermal energy stage 2, (3) Major heat loss thermal energy aftercooler, (4) Liquid oxygen enriched release dan (5) Overpressure in LOX delivery pump. Kemudian dilakukan skenario probabilitas kegagalan menggunakan ETA. Nilai probabilitas kegagalan terbesar terjadi akibat Overpressure in LOX delivery pump sebesar PFAILURE= 1.6511x10 -1 . Setelah itu, memberikan rekomendasi yang mengacu pada hirarki pengendalian atau hierarchy of control untuk meminimalisir terjadinya kegagalan. Kata Kunci : Air Separation Plant, ETA, ETBA, Probabilitas, Risiko ABSTRACT The production process of liquid oxygen on Cryogenic Air Separation Plant has high potential of hazards, such as: (1) Rapid Oxydation, (2) Embrittlement, (3) Pressure Excursion due to vaporizing liquid, and (4) Oxygen enriched or deficient atmospheres. Liquid oxygen is a cryogenic liquid which is boiling point at 183 o C and it can cause frostbite. This research is using Energy Trace and Barrier Analysis (ETBA) method and continued with determinating probability of failure scenario using Event Tree Analysis (ETA). The result of this research using ETBA method, it is obtained 42 risks that are classified as unacceptable and 5 of them are most at risk which catastrophic severity and the opportunity is always there. Those 5 risks are: (1) Major heat loss thermal energy stage 1, (2) Major heat loss thermal energy stage 2, (3) Major heat loss thermal energy aftercooler, (4) Liquid oxygen enriched release, and (5) Overpressure in LOX delivery pump. A probability failure scenario which uses ETA method shows that Overpressure in LOX delivery pump has the biggest probability failure value (PFAILURE= 1.6511x10-1). The result is going to be used to give a recommendation that refers to hierarchy of control to minimize the failure. Keywords: Air Separation Plant, ETA, ETBA, Probability, Risk
