ABSTRAK PT. Sasa Inti Gending memiliki beberapa mesin yang sangat penting untuk mendukung produksi. Salah satunya adalah kompresor, dalam operasional kompresor memiliki fungsi yang sangat besar. Kompresor adalah mesin yang menghasilkan udara bertekanan. Fungsi kompresor untuk menggerakkan control valve, gas turbin dan untuk perawatan bakteri. Apabila kompresor ini berhenti maka akan berakibat fatal pada gas turbin dan dapat terjadi trip pada perusahaan. Kompresor centac 6 yang digunakan di PT Sasa inti yaitu jenis kompresor sentrifugal. Udara kompresor centac 6 digunakan sebagai perawatan bakteri, pemindahan larutan ke dalam tangki dan cooling down tangki. Dengan fungsi kompresor yang sangat penting maka kompresor harus selalu siap untuk dijalankan. Masalah yang sering dialami kompresor ini adalah kegagalan starter. Kegagalan starter kompresor ini mengakibatkan kompresor tidak dapat bekerja untuk beberapa saat dan dapat menghambat jalannya proses. Kegagalan starter diakibatkan oleh rusaknya salah satu komponen atau peralatan yang digunakan pada panel atau mesin kompresor yaitu timer ISTR. Timer ISTR berfungsi untuk memastikan perpindahan siklus dari kinerja vaccum kontaktor. Kegagalan starter yang diakibatkan oleh rusaknya timer ini hanya teknisi yang berpengalaman dalam hal kompresor yang dapat menganalisa bahwa timer rusak, jadi membutuhkan waktu yang lama untuk memeriksa dan memperbaiki masalah tersebut. Dari analisa tersebut solusi untuk timer ini pada rangkaian kontrol akan diberikan lampu indikator guna untuk mengetahui timer bekerja dengan baik. Lampu indikator dipasang pada timer ISTR. Lampu indikator akan mati apabila timer bekerja dengan baik dan sebaliknya. Dengan adanya lampu indikator akan lebih mudah mengetahui bahwa timer rusak dan tidak membutuhkan waktu yang lama untuk mengetahuinya. Pihak PT. Sasa Inti akan dapat lebih mudah mengetahui kerusakan dan dapat mempersingkat waktu untuk memperbaiki atau mengganti komponen tersebut agar tidak mengganggu proses produksi. One of them is compressor, compressor has a huge function operationally. Compressor is a machine that produces pressurized air. Compressor has a lot of function such as driving the control valve and turbine gas also treating the bacteria. It will be fatal on turbine gas if the compressor is stopped and trips may occur in the company. Centac 6 compressor used in PT. Sasa Inti is the centrifugal type compressor. Centac 6 compressor air is used as a bacterial treatment, the solution removal into the tank and cooling down the tank. Because of the importance, compressor must be ready to run everytime. The failure of starteris the problem that often experienceed by compressors. The failure of this compressor starter result in the compressor not being able to work for a while and may inhibite the process. Starter failure caused by the damage of the component or equipment used on the panel. That component is ISTR timer. The ISTR timer works to ensure cycle shift from the contactor vaccum performance. It takes a long time to fix a failure of the starter caused by the timer damage because only certain people who can analyze that the timer is broken. By the analysis the solution for knowing that the timer is working property by given an indicator light in the control circuit. The indicator light will make it easier to know that the timer is damaged and doesn’t take a long time to figure it out. Expected that PT. Sasa Inti will be easier to know the damage and shorten the time to fix it so as not to disrupt the production process. Keyword : Air, Compressor, ISTR timer, Starter Failure.
