ABSTRACT At a company engaged in the field of oil and gas, there is a lot of pressure vessel which has the functions and uses of each. Pressure vessel design to create a new or existing vessel (pressure vessel which is already exist) strongly emphasized the level of accuracy and a high specification so that the products have to be comply with the standards of ISO and ASME. In the existing pressure vessel needed maintenance or periodic inspection to detect defects or a reduction in the thickness of the skin or the head of the pressure vessel itself. If there are indications of defects or reduction in thicknes, it is necessary to repair. Repair is performed based on standards of ASME Section VIII according to the standards used for pressure vessel. The standard is a reference to recalculate the maximum allowable pressure on the thickness of the pressure vessel after repair. Then performed frequency calculation using formulas to be compared with the results of the vibrometer. Further, analyze the eigen value and eigen vector for acceptance criteria of existing vibration conditions. From the analysis that has been done, obtained a minimum thickness is 25 mm on the shell and head capable for receiving pressure until 421 Psi in accordance with the existing state of the pressure vessel. At the time of vibration measurement results obtained velocity maximum frequency of 1.082 mm / s. Results of analyzes using Patran obtained graph showing the position of vibrations that occur at a frequency of 0.035 CPS, so the results of the graph in Patran still comply the criteria of acceptable values for vibration.
