Abstrak

Dalamindustripengolahanminyakbumidibutuhkansuatuperalatanuntukmemanaskanfluida yang disebut heater. Heater atauseringdisebut fired heater, adalahsuatuperalatan yang digunakanuntukmemanaskancairan di dalamtube,dengansumberpanas yang berasaldari proses pembakaran yang menggunakanbahanbakar gas ataucairansecaraterkendali di dalam burner, bebankerjadari tube heater cukupberat,karenaharusbekerjapada temperature yang tinggi, sehinggaperludilakukanpemeriksaansecaraberkalauntukmenentukan remaining lifenyasebelumterjadikerusakan yang mengakibatkanpenghentianpengoperasian heater. Dalampenelitianinidiambil data tebal actual selama 5 tahunoleh PT.TRANS PACIFIC PETROCHEMICAL INDOTAMA-Tuban.dimana tube yang akandihitung remaining lifenyamemiliki diameter 114,3 mm, material A335-P9, danstandart API. Selainitujugamenghitung corrosion rate denganmencariselisihtebaldiawalpemakaiandengantebalakhirsaatpengukurankemudiandibagi interval waktupengambilan data.Setelah data corrosion rate dantebal minimum tube diketahuimakabisaditentukan remaining lifenyadenganmencariselilisihdaritebal actual saatpengukurandikurangitebal minimum yang dibutuhkankemudiandibagidengan corrosion rate pertahun Denganditentukannyaperhitungan remaining life timenya, makadidapatkanberapaprediksisisaumur(remaining life) Heater 203-H-002 ini minimal 1,89 tahunkedepandanmaksimal 7,15tahunkedepan, Sehinggaperludilakukanpemeriksaanterhadap tube heater setiap 36 bulan (3 tahun) sekaliuntukmengetahuipengurangantebal tube yang diakibatkankorosiataupunfaktor lain dari heater tersebut. Abstract

In petroleum processing industry are needed a device to heat fluid, it?s called heater. Heater or fired heater is a device used to heat the fluid in the tube, with sources of heat coming from the combustion process that uses gas or liquid fuel in a controlled manner in the burner, the workload of the tube heater is quite heavy, because they have to work at high temperature, so it is necessary to check periodically to determine the remaining life before damage occurs resulting in termination of the operation of the heater. In this research the actual data is taken during 5 years by PT.TRANS PACIFIC PETROCHEMICAL INDOTAMA-Tuban where tube will be calculated the remaining life which has a diameter of 114.3 mm, material A335-P9, and API standart. It also calculates corrosion rate by finding the difference in first thickness with the last thicknessof the current consumption is then divided interval time measurement data acquisition.after data corrosion rate and the minimum thickness tube is known then the remaining life can be determined by finding the difference between the actual thickness measurement time reduced the minimum thickness required is then divided by the corrosion rate per year. With it determines the calculation of remaining life time, then how prediction is obtained remaining life (remaining life) Heater 203-H-002 is a minimum of 1,89 years in the future and a maximum of 7,15 years ahead. So that should be an examination of the heater tube every 36 months (3 years) once to determine the tube thickness reduction caused by corrosion or other factors of the heater.
