Abstract

ABSTRAK Distribusi aliran berperan penting dalam komponen di dalam ketel uap (boiler), salah satu komponen pada boiler yang dipengaruhi oleh distribusi aliran adalah superheater. Superheater berperan sebagai perubah fase dari saturated steam menjadi superheated steam.. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan satu kondisi awal yang dianalisa menggunakan metode antara lain analisa akibat ketidakseragaman distribusi aliran (mal-uniformity) distribusi aliran steam pada bagian superheater header tipe pendant / horizontal menggunakan kalkulasi pressure drop dan pemodelan Computized Fluid Dynamics (CFD) pada ANSYS FLUENT 14.5. Kemudian dibandingkan dengan modifikasi pada inside diameter untuk menjadi rekomendasi pada header superheater. Dengan temperatur dan tekanan rancangan sebesar 405°C dan 62,76 bar. Hasil kalkulasi pressure drop sebesar 93129,25247 Pa dan analisa menggunakan ANSYS FLUENT 14.5 pada kondisi awal terjadi ketidakseragaman distribusi aliran (mal-uniformity). Maka dilakukan dua variasi model inside diameter header superheater didapati desain yang memiliki keseragaman distribusi aliran (uniformity) dengan dilakukan pergantian inside diameter NPS 8” SCH 140. Kata kunci : Boiler Bimasakti-40, Superheater, header superheater, configuration header superheater, mal-uniformity, distribusi aliran ABSTRACT Flow distribution have a major part in component of boiler, one of the component in boiler have been affected by flow distribution was superheater. superheater have a important job to change phase from sturated steam to become superheated steam. In this research will be analyze existing condition of header superheater using method analyze cause of mal-uniformity flow distribution steam on header superheater part type pendant/horizontal using calculation of pressure drop and modelling simulation using Computized Fluid Dynamics (CFD) on ANSYS FLUENT 14.5. And then comparation of modification in inside diameter to become recomendation in design of header superheater. Within tempreature design and pressure design amount 405°C and 62,76 bar Results in this research was calculation of pressure drop amount 93129,2547 Pa and analyze using ANSYS FLUENT 14.5 on existing condition header superheater was consisted mal-uniformity. Then in this research was doing 2 model variation inside diameter header superheater have result uniformity flow distribution using inside diameter NPS 8” SCH 140 Key Words : Boiler Bimasakti-40, Superheater, header superheater, configuration header superheater, mal-uniformity, flow distribution
