Abstract

ABSTRAK Perancangan piping water and air absorbsi spray system pada GCT ( Gas Cooling Tower ) raw mill, membutuhkan desain sistem perpipaan dengan memiliki tingkat fleksibilitas yang tinggi. Dikarenakan instalasi piping spray mempunyai jalur ketinggian mencapai 58 meter dari suction pompa yang diharuskan mampu menyuplai water consumption 48.4 m 3 /h, dengan tekanan yang tinggi untuk spray sebagai pendinginan didalam ruangan silinder. Sistem perpiaan GCT mempunyai permasalahan yaitu supportnya mengalami pergeseran dan pergerakan hampir di setiap supportnya. Permasalahn tersebut di kemungkinkan kurang efektifnya dari fungsi penggunaan desain expansion loop, Dengan penggunaan expansion horizontal loop dan expansion z-bend desain eksisting yang diharapkan mampu mengurangi over stress dan buckling yang dapat berpengaruh terhadap support. Untuk itu tugas akhir ini menitik beratkan analisa expansion horizontal loop dan z-bend loop untuk mengetahui seberapa baik kedua desain expansion loop. Dan mengetahui besar tegangan yang terjadi akibat beban yang diterima di haruskan masih dalam batasan standar ASME B31.3 Dari permasalahan diatas, dilakukan analisa tegangan dan fleksibilitas desain loop dengan menggunakan software Caesar II 5.0 dan manual untuk mengetahui besar nilai tegangan bedasarkan outputnya dengan mengacu nilai tegangan tidak lebih dari batasan standart ASME B31.3. dan untuk sebelumnya di lakukan evaluasi desain sistem perpipaan gct,mulai dari allowable thickness, allowable working pressure, allowable span, dan dimensi loop. Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisa ini yaitu nilai tegangan dan fleksiblitas loop dari kedua desain expansion loop eksisting. Berdasarkan hasil software, dan manual untuk nilai tegangan akibat beban total (sustain loads, occasional dan thermal loads) desain z-bend loop memiliki tegangan tegangan masih dalam batasan tegangan yang diizinkan. Sehingga desain horizontal loop yang akan dipilih untuk dioptimalisasi sesuai batasan standart B31,3 .Hasil redesain dimana didapatkan nilai tegangan lebih kecil dari desain expansion loop horizontal eksisting. Abstract The design of piping water absorption and water spray system at GCT (Gas Cooling Tower) raw mill, requiring the design of piping systems to have a high level of flexibility. Due to the spray piping installation has a height reached 58 meters lanes of suction pumps which are required to be able to supply water consumption is 48.4 m3/h, with high pressure to spray a cooling cylinder indoors. GCT perpiaan system has problems that the support is shifting and movement of almost every support. The problems in the possibility that the lack of effective use of the function expansion loop design, the use of horizontal loop expansion and expansion of the existing z-bend design is expected to reduce over-stress and buckling that can influence the support. Therefore this thesis focuses on the analysis of horizontal expansion loop and z-bend loop to know how well the design of expansion loops. And knowing much stress caused by the load received in required is still within the limits of the standard ASME B31.3 From the problems above, do stress analysis and design flexibility loop using Caesar II 5.0 software and the manual to find great value based on output stress with a reference stress value is not more than the standard limit ASME B31.3. and for previously undertaken evaluation of GCT design of piping systems, ranging from the allowable thickness, the allowable working pressure, allowable span, and the dimensions of the loop. The results obtained from this analysis that the value of the stress and flexibility loop of the second loop expansion of existing designs. Based on the results of the software, and manuals for the voltage value due to the total load (sustained loads, occasional and thermal loads) z-bend design loop has a stress of the stress is still within the limits permitted stress. So the design of horizontal loop which will have to be optimized according limitation redesigning standard B31,3 The results which were obtained stress value is smaller than the existing design of horizontal loop expansion.
