Abstract

ABSTRAK Salah satu rotating machinery yang menunjang fasilitas produksi di PT. Pertamina EP Asset 4 Field Cepu adalah pompa sentrifugal single stages. Pompa sentrifugal paling banyak terpasang (ter-install) di lokasi PPP Menggung. Salah satu merk pompa tersebut adalah Deeb Blue, yaitu pompa sentrifugal Single Stages. Dalam pelaksanaan operasionalnya, banyak sekali kerusakan-kerusakan yang terjadi. Sehingga mengakibatkan rendahnya keandalan (reliability) dan ketersediaan (availability) pompa tersebut. Permasalahan teknik yang sering terjadi adalah kebocoran fluida dari mechanical seal pompa, temperatur bearing yang tinggi, impeller mengalami korosi, keausan wearing ring impeller hingga mengenai base metal cassing. Evaluasi ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk mengetahui penyebab kerusakan pompa dan mencari solusi yang terbaik untuk mencegah kerusakan pompa. Dengan mengetahui kinerja pompa maka dapat dihitung besarnya NPSHa (Net Positive Suction Head yang tersedia) dan NPSHr (Net Positive Suction Head yang diperlukan) agar dapat di evaluasi apakah terjadi kavitasi, karena dengan adanya kavitasi menyebabkan rusaknya pompa. Metode evaluasi ini dengan cara pengambilan data, perhitungan dan evaluasi. Pada perhitungan daya pompa sebesar 2,5399 kW dan daya poros sebesar 2,988 kW. Sedangkan dari perhitungan NPSH nilai NPSHa sebesar 1,885 m sedangkan NPSHr sebesar 3,2 m sehingga kerusakan pompa disebabkan kavitasi. Maka solusi untuk menghidari kavitasi dengan cara mesndesain ulang sistem perpipaan di bagian suction dan dilakukan perhitungan kembali. Dari hasil perhitungan di dapatkan nilai NPSHa sebesar 3,789 jadi pompa Deep Blue sudah tidak mengalami kavitasi. While the calculation of NPSH value NPSHa of 1,885 m by 3.2 m, while NPSHR that pump damage caused by cavitation. So the solution to avoid cavitation by means mesndesain the piping system at the suction and do perhtungan back.
