ABSTRAK Kapal merupakan suatu alat yang digunakan sebagai sarana alat transportasi laut. Kapal pada waktu beroperasi akan mengalami berbagai macam kondisi yang menyebabkan kerusakan atau penurunan kualitas motor bantu itu sendiri. Untuk menstabilkan kondisi motor bantu tersebut perlu dilakukan perbaikan general overhaul pada motor bantu dengan type MWM HND TBD 234V8 pada kapal MV. MERATUS PALEMBANG. Proses perbaikan kapal ini dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan kapal sebagai syarat ketentuan dikapal. Dengan adanya kegiatan overhaul ini semakin banyak pergantian komponen maka semakin banyak biaya pekerja yang dibutuhkan dan juga waktu akan menjadi tidak sesuai yang direncanakan. Dengan meningkatnya waktu dan biaya tersebut perlu dicari waktu dan biaya yang optimal pada kegiatan general overhaul. Untuk mencari waktu kegiatan serta biaya yang diperlukan, digunakan metode jalur kritis atau yang disebut dengan CPM (critical path method). Dari metode CPM yang di dapat melalui jalur kritis penyelesaian kegiatan general overhaul motor MWM HND TBD 234V8 pada kapal MV. Meratus Palembang membutuhkan waktu sebesar 4933 menit atau 82,21 jam dengan efisiensi biaya pekerjaan sebesar Rp. 518.016,00. Dengan merencanakan jadwal kegiatan dengan menggunakan metode lintasan kritis atau yang disebut Dengan menggunakan Critical Path Method (CPM), dapat diketahui secara lebih terperinci kegiatan-kegiatan yang bersifat kritis dan non kritis yang akan memberikan kesempatan cukup dalam mengatur pengendalian jadwal kegiatan proyek. Untuk jalur normal biaya tertinggi yang non kritis ini waktu dan biaya dapat diminimalkan dengan waktu 4683 menit (78,05 jam) dan biaya sebesar Rp. 1.986.969,00. . Jadi, penurunan presentase jalur normal biaya tertinggi setelah di minimalkan adalah sebesar 2,3% dari biaya normal aktual. Kata kunci : general overhaul, waktu, biaya, Jalur kritis. By increasing the time and cost necessary to find the optimal time and cost in general overhaul activities. To find the time and cost required activities, critical path method is used or called by CPM (critical path method). The CPM method that can be critical path through the completion of the general overhaul of the motor MWM HND TBD 234V8 in MV.Meratus Palembang takes for 4933 minutes or 82.21 hours with a job cost efficiency of Rp. 518,016.00 With the planned schedule activities using the critical path method or the so-called Using the Critical Path Method (CPM), it can be seen in more detail the activities that are critical and non-critical which will provide ample opportunity to adjust the project schedule control activities. For normal path cost is the highest non-critical time and cost can be minimized with a time of 4683 minutes (78.05 hours) and a fee of Rp. 1,986,969.00.
