ABSTRAK Pengaturan dan perancangan fasilitas produksi yang baik akan meningkatkan efisiensi, waktu, maupun biaya. Di sisi lain, tata letak fasilitas produksi yang kurang teratur dapat menyebabkan pada lamanya waktu proses produksi, serta meningkatkannya biaya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menerapkan perencanaan penataan ruang pada area produksi dengan menggunakan sistem 5S yang ada di PT. XJX. Berdasarkan hasil observasi secara langsung di lapangan kondisi 5S di area produksi PT. XJX belum berjalan dengan baik, masih banyak temuan yang di dapat. Dengan adanya temuan tersebut, selanjutnya dapat dilakukan perancangan dan penataan kembali kerja di area produksi sehingga menciptakan lingkungan yang aman dan nyaman dengan menggunakan sistem 5S. Data yang digunakan diperoleh dari hasil survey secara langsung ataupun wawancara dan juga referensi dari buku-buku sebagai pendukung dari penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian yang di dapatkan kondisi awal dan akhir perencanaan penataan 5S di area produksi PT. XJX dan keseluruhan rencana anggaran biaya yang harus dikeluarkan oleh PT. XJX untuk perencanaan pembuatan rak pada ruang gudang dan area cnc sebesar Rp 2.115.000 (dua juta seratus lima belas ribu rupiah). Kata Kunci : 5S, Tata Letak, RAB ABSTRACT Measurement and design of production facilities would increase efficiency, time, and cost. On the other, the layout of production facilities are less frequently can cause the duration of the production process, as well as increase the cost. This study was conducted to implemet planning in the production area by using the 5S system in PT. XJX. Based on the results of direct observation in the field 5S conditions in the production area of PT. XJX not run well, there are many findings in that founded. With their findings, which can be done the design and realignment of work in the production area so as to create a safe and comfortable environment using the 5S system. The data used were obtained from the survey directly or interviews and also the reference of the books as a supporter of this study. Results of studies in initial and final conditions get planning arrangement 5S in the production area of PT. XJX and overall budget plan costs to be incurred by PT. XJX for planning the manufacture of racks in warehouse space and area cnc Rp 2.115 million (two million one hundred and fifteen thousand rupiah). Keywords: 5S, Layout, RAB
