ABSTRAK Jam orang (JO) adalah jam kerja yang dibutuhkan untuk menyelesaikan suatu pekerjaan sampai pekerjaan itu selesai. Material dasar yang berupa plat dan profil adalah komponen utama konstruksi kapal. Penetapan jam orang (JO) dan perencanaan kebutuhan material dasar sangat penting dilakukan agar tidak terjadi penambahan jam orang dan penggunaan material lebih efisien sehingga meminimal kerugian bagi perusahaan. Dalam menentukan data hasil perhitungan jam orang dan efisiensi waktu pada proses pembangunan kapal FERRY 500- GT di PT.DUMAS TANJUNG PERAK SHIPYARD adalah membandingkan hasil perencanaan dan pelaksanaan di lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil analisa maka didapatkan ketidaksesuaian jumlah jam orang yang digunakan antara perencanaan dengan pelaksanaan di lapangan. Pada proses pembangunan kapal FERRY 500- GT jam orang perencanaan adalah 47,194/JO, sedangkan pelaksanaannya 50,916/JO, terjadi percepatan (JO/T). Maka dapat dilihat bahwa progress pengerjaan KPAL ferry 500- GT berjalan sesuai perencanaan, karena mengalami percepatan jam orang dalam pembuatannya. Basic material in the form of plates and profile is the main components of the ship’s construction. Determination of man hours (JO) and the basic material planning is very important in order to avoid additional hours and more efficient use of materials so as to minimize losses of the company. In determining the data on the calculation of man hours and time efficiency on the building FERRY 500-GT ship in PT.DUMAS TANJUNG PERAK SHIPYARD is comparing the results of the planning and implementation in the field. Based on the analysis results are obtained mismatches number of man hours used between planning and implementation in the field. In the process o f building the ship FERRY -GT 500 man hours of planning is 47.194 / JO, while the implementation 50.916 / JO, an accelerated 0.13486 (JO / T). It can be seen that the progress of workmanship KPAL ferry 500-GT goes according to plan, because the clock is accelerated in the making. Key : FERRY500-GT, Man Hours, Time Efficiency
