ABSTRAK Perawatan dan reparasi adalah salah satu hal yang sangat penting dilakukan pada suatu kapal, terutama pada bagian lambung kapal. Proses replating dilakukan bukan hanya karena terjadinya pengurangan ketebalan pelat pada lambung kapal, melainkan karena terjadinya kecelakaan pada saat berlayar sehingga menyebabkan deformasi pada pelat (cacat pada material). Jika pelat lambung kapal mengalami pengurangan ketebalan lebih dari 20% tebal pelat aslinya dan adanya deformasi pada lambung kapal maka perlu dilakukan proses replating. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perhitungan kebutuhan pelat, dan kebutuhan kawat las (elektroda), tahapan kapal masuk ke dok kolam, dan tahapan proses replating pada saat kapal SJ. ELITE reparasi di PT. BATAMEC Shipyard. Jadi proses replating yang telah di uraikan, untuk pengecekan dan pergantian pelat harus menggunakan mekanisme yang telah di tentukan oleh owner dan class. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dan perhitungan yang telah dilakukan kebutuhan pelat pada proses replating sebesar 6.228,304 kg, kebutuhan kawat las (elektroda) pada saat replating sebesar 449,724 kg, dan biaya yang dibutuhkan upada saat replating sebesar Rp. 166.950.700. BATAMEC Shipyard Batam ABSTRACT Maintenance and repair is one of the most important things at the ship, especially on the hull section of the ship. Replacement process don’t only because of the reduction of plate thickness on the hull of the ship, however crash when sailing is an incident that cause deformation at the plates. If the hull plates have a thickness reduction more than 20% thick of the original plate and there are deformation at the hull so in this situation necessary replating process. The research calculation of plate requirements, and electrode, tell about step the ship come into the graving dock, and step replating process when SJ. ELITE’s ship repair in BATAMEC’s Company. So the replating process has been explained on inspection and chang plate use a mechanism has been specified by owner and class. Based on observation and calculation have done, the consumption plate in the replating process 6.228,304 kg, consumption welding wire (electrode) when replating process 449,724 kg and cost of replating Rp.
