Abstract

Kata Kunci: Behavior Based Safety, Critical Behavior Checklist, Safety Briefing ABSTRACT PT. X is one of the companies that play a role in providing container terminal facilities. One of the jobs that has risks on the work is unloading and loading of containers. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of DOIT, to know the level of behavior of workers before and after intervention, the influence of age, education, years of work, knowledge of workers behavior. Behavior Based Safety (BBS) program uses the DOIT method for nine weeks with two weeks of initial observation, four weeks intervention and a final three-week observation. Taking observational data using Critical Behavior Checklist (CBC) and applying safety briefing as a form of intervention with consequence to give the final result of reward and punishment. The paired t-test result of 0.000 indicates that there is a difference of safe behavior between before and after intervention on both jobs. The result of binary logistic regression test on loading and unloading work before after intervention shows that there are no independent variables affecting workers behavior. The results can be seen in the table of variables in the equation of experimental workers before the intervention of unloading and loading of p-value shows age = 1,000 education = 1,000 work period = 1,000 and knowledge = 1,000, after intervention unloading and loading of p-value shows age = 1,000 Education = 0.999 work period = 1,000 and knowledge = 1,000. Keywords: Behavior-Based safety, Critical Behavior Checklist, Safety Briefing
