Abstract

Kata Kunci: Arduino, Limit Switch, Mikrokontroler, Tambangan ABSTRACT Tambangan is a tool that serves to move train cars from one workshop to another workshop. Transportation of train cars is done by way of train cars pulled out of the workshop to the Tambangan by using forklift and then the Tambangan will move horizontally towards the intended workshop. The existence of the Tambangan is required at PT. INKA in order to support the production because it is only Tambangan, a transportation tool hopper from one workshop to another workshop. However, to outline the Tambangan rail with the workshop rail, the worker must shout to the Tambangan operator to notify the line or not both rails. It is considered less effective, because the conditions in the field there is noise pollution and takes a long time just to know the line of both rails. The design of this prototype uses a limit switch as an input controlled by an Arduino microcontroller that is used as an inline reference between the Tambangan rail and workshop rail. The output of this prototype design is notification with buzzer and LCD for display when both rails are in line. The results of this prototype can facilitate the Tambangan operator in knowing the line position between the two rails. The success rate for the right workshop was 93.33% and the success rate for the left workshop was 96.67%. The advantages of the designed prototype is to facilitate the Tambangan operator in terms of knowing the line position between the Tambangan rail and the workshop rail. Expectations from the completion of this prototype can be a reference for companies in terms of savings in production time. Keywords: Arduino, Limit Switch, Microcontroller, Tambangan
