ABSTRAK Echosounder furuno FE 800 di Surabaya dipasang pada kapal DAVAO DEL SUR yang digunakan untuk mengukur kedalaman air laut supaya mengetahui yang ada pada bawah laut dan menghindari terjadinya kapal karam atau kandas dikarenakan tidak mengetahui dasar laut itu dangkal atau dalam. Adapun fungsi dasar echosounder yang berfungsi sebagai alat mengukur kedalaman air yang menggunakan tekanan gelombang yang dikirimkan langsung kedasar laut dan di pantulkan lagi ke echosounder untuk mengetahui berapa kedalaman perairan tersebut. Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan analisa sistem kerja echosounder pada kapal DAVAO DEL SUR. Echosounder berperan sangat penting dalam pelaksanaan beroperasi, karena alat ini mengurangi kecelakaan pada saat berlayar. Dalam penelitian yang dilakukan terdapat studi kasus berupa sistem kerja echosounder untuk mengetahui jarak jangkauan kedalaman perairan yang dipancarkan oleh transduser. Penentuan frekuensi sangat penting dikarenakan jika salah menentukan frekuensi maka yang akan menyebabkan kesalahan penentuan kedalaman laut. Kesalahan penentuan kedalaman laut dapat menyebabkan kapal karam dan yang paling parah dapat menyebabkan kecelakaan. Kata kunci: Echosounder fe 800, sistem kerja echosounder, navigasi kapal. ABSTRACT Echosounder furuno FE 800 in Surabaya is installed at DAVAO DEL SUR ship which is used to measure the depth of sea water in order to know that there is under the sea and avoid shipwreck or aground due to not knowing the seabed is shallow or deep. The basic function echosounder that serves as a tool to measure the depth of water using wave pressure that is sent directly to the sea and reflected again to the echosounder to find out how the depth of these waters. In this final project is done echosounder working system analysis on ship DAVAO DEL SUR. Echosounders play a very important role in the implementation of operations, because this tool reduces accidents while sailing. In the research conducted there is a case study in the form of echosounder work system to know the distance range of water depth emitted by transducer. Determination of the frequency is very important because if one determines the frequency then that will cause errors in determining the depth of the sea.
